Breaking news from the North Region in Cameroon today is an example of the cruelty and harm of certain acts of domestic violence.

According to @Betatinz a man named Mokom Serge suspected his wife of cheating, beat his wife with a hot matchete to express his anger.

What happened?

According to his sister-in-law, Serge returned home to find his wife resting on their matrimonial bed. everything was calm and there were no pre-arguments. He asked his wife if she was cheating on him with his male colleague. Before she could say a word, he started beating and attempted to strangle her. At some point he stopped, ran to the kitchen and heated the mathete to return and give her a whopping of her life.

The incident took place in Garoua. The victim is currently receiving treatment at the hospital while the (abuser) Serge is on the run.

No matter what the alleged accusations are, no one deserves to be tortured in this manner. It is our hope that the victim receives justice while, both victim and abuser get help to heal and reform accordingly.
